Thanks for your interest in joining GORBA. Membership in GORBA offers many benefits including the GORBA Ride Calendar, use of the GORBA section on ClubMTB.com, IMBA insurance, discounts at select Guelph and area bicycle shops, and much more.

Under the terms of our land-use contract with the Grand River Conservation Authority for the trails at Guelph Lake, GORBA must maintain a specific level of liability insurance coverage on the organization and each individual member. For the past several years GORBA has purchased insurance through our affiliation with the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA). In previous years this coverage has been provided by a US-based broker. For 2008, IMBA has negotiated coverage through a Canadian-based broker which provides better coverage and eliminates the concern of having insurance provided by an out-of-country broker. However, the premiums for this insurance are roughly 80% higher than last year’s

A membership in GORBA remains one of the lowest-cost sporting-related memberships available. This is primarily due to the massive volunteer commitment from the GORBA Executive, members of the GORBA Bike Patrol, and all GORBA Instructors.

With membership benefits including e-mail updates of all club rides and activities, free skills clinics, free youth clinics, camping trips, and much more, the value provided by a GORBA membership cannot be matched by any other organization.

Individual/Family membership - Complete the required fields and print the 2010 Membership Application for each person.

—If you’re applying for a Family Membership, make sure that all members of the family sign the form.

—If any applicants are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian MUST sign the waiver at the bottom of the application.

—Be sure to carefully read and understand the Release, Waiver, and Indemnity section - take it to your lawyer if you’re not sure about what it says.
