GORBA Ride Ratings
The intent of the ratings guide is to assist members when posting or determining the difficulty of a posted ride that they might want to join.
NOVICE: Minimal elevation change or fairly gradual hills. Double or mostly easy single track, possibly with some sections to challenge basic skills. Overall, suited for riders with minimal technical skill. Plenty of stops to catch your breath. Length of ride 1-1.5 hours
INTERMEDIATE: More hills, some possibly requiring granny hear, some downhill sections requiring more than basic skill. Some roots and rock on single and double track. Good technical skills an asset. Still stopping to catch your breath. Length of ride 2-3 hours
ADVANCED: Fast, lung burn granny gear hills, steep downhill sections, and other physically demanding sections. Lots of roots and rock on very technical single track trails. Strong technical skills required. Length of ride 3 hours +
