I need to replace the chain rings on my Saint cranks. I primarily need the middle ring. The small ring is OK.
Anyone out there that can recommend a brand that wears well and shifts OK?
I am looking for a 32 tooth middle ring for a compact crankset so pretty standarad stuff.
The Saint chainring shifts well but didn't last as long as I would have liked.

I would stick with the big S if it was me. Middle rings aren't that expensive and you here bad stories about the performance of some other makes.

I am running envy 26/36 rings on my banzai and they seem to be wearing the best of all the rings I have or have used. They are a bit thicker and heavier, probably why they are lasting longer, but then again my banzai isn't out to win any races (nor am I).

Envy,BS,RF and the big S all make good rings, how well they work and how long they last depends on how compatible they are to each other and to the rider. Smaller rings wear quicker and the fatter ones don't shift as well as the skinny ones.
Just don't mix brands.

I've been running Black Spire SuperPro on my Whyte since it was new with good luck. I've replaced the middle with same and the granny with a Cycle Dynamics Ti after 2003 Lost in the Rocks & Trees (that race did in my whole drive train). The rings seem to work well and last reasonably well. They have lasted a lot longer then the stock chainrings on my Saint Cranks.
I was just currious what others had for experience/recommendations out there.
Probably go with BS/CD again.
